Carbon facial
A thin layer of carbon is applied to the face and then lifted off with a gentle laser. It takes oil, dirt and dead skin with it, leaving skin smoother, brighter and less oily.

How it works
A carbon facial, also called a carbon laser peel or “black doll” facial, has two parts. A thin layer of medical carbon lotion is spread over the face and left to dry; the fine carbon particles settle into the pores and soak up oil. A Q-switched laser then passes over the skin. The carbon absorbs the laser energy and breaks away, taking dead skin, oil and debris with it.
The gentle heat also stimulates the skin a little, which helps with oil control and fine texture. Most people feel light, warm snaps and a faint popping sound. The session takes 30 to 40 minutes.

Results and how long they last
Skin looks brighter and less oily from the first session, and the effect lasts a couple of weeks. A course of 4 to 6 sessions gives longer-lasting oil control and smaller-looking pores.
What affects the cost
The cost depends on whether it is a single glow session or a course, and whether it is combined with another treatment such as a peel.

Questions people ask
Is there any downtime?
No. Mild pinkness, if any, settles within a few hours.
Is a carbon facial safe for Indian skin?
Yes, when the laser settings suit your skin tone. It is one of the gentler laser treatments for medium and darker skin.
Carbon facial or HydraFacial?
For very oily skin and open pores, a carbon facial often works better. For dry or dehydrated skin, a HydraFacial usually suits more. We suggest one after seeing your skin.
